What Lyric knows
Self-reflection
Lyric reflects on what it learns throughout the day. Once a day it also performs a dedicated self-reflection, in which it reviews and consolidates what it has learned and verifies what it holds.
The dedicated self-reflection
- Review what Lyric has learned since the previous self-reflection.
- Reconcile conflicting or duplicated information.
- Validate what it has learned against the supporting and contradicting evidence, so that unsupported conclusions do not become trusted knowledge.
- Optimize by identifying stale information, redundant data and maintenance needs.
- Plan the follow-up work and the questions that remain open.
- Commit only the changes that are authorized and validated.
When it runs
| Plan | When the dedicated self-reflection runs |
|---|---|
| Lyric Free and Lyric Pro | Once Lyric has been idle for a period |
| Lyric Max | Outside the working hours you set |
| Lyric Teams and Lyric Enterprise | Outside the working hours the organization sets |
The time Lyric needs depends on the organization, team or person and on how much information Lyric holds for them. Working hours must leave that time free each day, and the usage panel shows it as Reflection time. See Working hours.
If you use Lyric during a self-reflection
The self-reflection gives way whenever someone uses Lyric, without losing any work, and resumes afterward. If it finishes early, Lyric returns to routine background work.
Initiating a self-reflection
You can also ask Lyric to perform a self-reflection at any time, for example after a large change to your work or your connected applications.
Usage
The daily self-reflection does not consume action minutes. A self-reflection you initiate does, and is reported under Self-reflection in the usage panel.
