Control
Action boundaries
Action boundaries are access controls you set for each area of work: whether Lyric may act there, must ask first, or never acts there. They apply whichever autonomy level and handling choice the work has.
The choices
| Choice | What it means |
|---|---|
| Allowed | Lyric may act in this area as the work's autonomy level allows |
| Ask first | Lyric asks for approval before acting in this area |
| Never | Lyric does not act in this area |
Areas of work
| Your own account | An organization |

| Messaging | Identity and access |
| Calendar | Endpoints and devices |
| Files | Email and messaging |
| External communication | Tickets and incidents |
| Experiments | Files and documents |

Setting your boundaries
Set your action boundaries in Settings › Autonomy, on Lyric Max, Lyric Teams and Lyric Enterprise. On Lyric Free and Lyric Pro, they are shown with the option to upgrade.
In an organization, administrators set the organization's boundaries and, for each area, who approves what needs approval. Your own boundaries can be stricter than the organization's, never looser: choices looser than the organization's cannot be taken. See Automation.
A project has its own action boundaries, set by its admins, which may be stricter than yours but never looser. See Project settings.
Boundaries with people
On the Relationships page, each group of people has its own permissions for what Lyric may do with them, such as reading conversations or scheduling meetings. See Relationships.
