Automation
Automation sets how much Lyric may do on its own for the organization's people: which autonomy levels are available, the highest level each account type may choose, and the action boundaries that send certain actions for approval.
Autonomy levels
| Level | What Lyric does | Action minutes per minute of work |
|---|---|---|
| Observe | Investigates and reports, without acting in your applications | 0.25 |
| Assist | Prepares changes and acts only after approval | 0.65 |
| Delegate | Performs the work on its own, without asking for approval | 1.00 |
In Settings › Organization (Settings › Team on Lyric Teams) › Automation, administrators choose which of the three levels are available to the organization.
Autonomy by account type
Administrators set the highest level each account type may choose. Each person then chooses their own level in Settings › Autonomy, which shows only the levels available to them.
Action boundaries
Action boundaries set which actions need approval and who approves them. An action that needs approval goes to the approver set for it, and Lyric performs it only after approval. Time spent awaiting approval does not consume action minutes.
Administrators can allow people to set their own action boundaries. A person's own boundaries can only be stricter than the organization's.
Autonomy and usage
The autonomy level of each piece of work determines how many action minutes it consumes. See Rate by autonomy level.
