Plans
Change your plan
You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel your plan at any time from Settings › Plan and billing. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the start of the next billing period.
Upgrading
An upgrade takes effect immediately.
- You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.
- The new plan's features and allowances are available at once.
- Usage already recorded in the current billing period counts toward the new allowance.
- Your billing date does not change.
Downgrading
A downgrade takes effect at the start of the next billing period. You keep your current plan, its features and its allowances until then. When the downgrade takes effect, nothing is deleted. Anything the new plan does not include is kept but becomes inactive, and resumes if you upgrade again.
| Item | After a downgrade to a plan that does not include it |
|---|---|
| Workflows and scheduled jobs | Kept, but do not run |
| API keys and webhooks | Kept, but requests are declined and webhooks are not sent |
| Work set to Delegate | Performed at the highest autonomy level the new plan allows |
| Connectors outside the Lyric Free set | Kept connected, but Lyric does not use them |
| Storage above the new allowance | Kept. Storage above the allowance is charged to usage credits, or new uploads and new work are declined until you are within the allowance |
Changing billing frequency
Where a plan offers annual billing, moving from monthly to annual billing takes effect immediately, with the remainder of the current monthly period credited against the annual charge. Moving from annual to monthly billing takes effect when the annual term ends. On annual plans, allowances renew monthly on the same day of each month.
Seats on Lyric Teams
- Adding a seat, or changing a standard seat to a premium seat, takes effect immediately and is charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period.
- Removing a seat, or changing a premium seat to a standard seat, takes effect at the start of the next billing period.
- A seat's usage for a billing period stays with that seat when the person assigned to it changes.
Adding and removing seats are billing changes: on Lyric Teams they are made by the account holder, and on Lyric Enterprise by the account holder or an administrator. Administrators on both plans assign seats to people. See Seats.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Settings › Plan and billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to your plan until then. Your account then continues on Lyric Free. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or where we state otherwise at purchase. For how long data is kept after cancellation, see the Data Retention Policy.
If a payment fails
If a renewal payment cannot be collected, we notify you and retry the charge. Lyric Free, Lyric Pro and Lyric Max are retried for one day; Lyric Teams and Lyric Enterprise are retried for three days. Your plan remains active while the charge is retried.
If the payment still cannot be collected, the plan is paused. While it is paused, the account works as Lyric Free: Lyric works at the Observe level within Lyric Free's allowances, and features the plan includes are kept but inactive. No data is deleted. Updating your payment method in Settings › Plan and billing collects the outstanding amount and restores the plan immediately.
Price changes
We give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase. You can cancel before the increase takes effect.
