Usage
Compute
Compute is the processor time used by the programs Lyric runs on your behalf, measured in core hours. Every plan includes a compute allowance that renews each billing period.
What consumes compute
- The processor time, user and system, of every program Lyric starts while performing work on your behalf, such as scripts, builds, test runs and data processing jobs.
- Compute is recorded when each program ends and added to your usage when the work ends.
What does not consume compute
- Lyric's own reasoning, which is measured in action minutes.
- Time a program spends waiting on the network or on storage rather than using a processor.
- Programs Lyric runs for its own maintenance.
Units
Compute is measured in processor seconds and displayed in core hours. One core hour equals 3,600 processor seconds. A program that keeps 4 processor cores fully occupied for 15 minutes consumes 1 core hour, while the work itself consumes 15 action minutes at Delegate.
The allowance provides approximately half a core hour for every hour of action time, so it is reached only by work that keeps several cores occupied for extended periods.
Allowances by plan
| Plan | Compute per billing period (core hours) |
|---|---|
| Lyric Free | 1 |
| Lyric Pro | 5 |
| Lyric Max 1x | 40 |
| Lyric Max 2x | 60 |
| Lyric Teams, standard seat | 3 |
| Lyric Teams, premium seat | 45 |
| Lyric Enterprise, default seat | 15 |
When the allowance is used
Work already in progress runs to completion. If you hold usage credits, new work continues and draws on them at $0.20 per core hour, up to any monthly spend limit you set. Otherwise, no new work begins until the allowance renews, and Lyric displays the following message: “Your compute allowance for this billing period has been used. It renews on [date].”
