Usage

Concurrent tasks

Concurrent tasks is the number of your tasks Lyric performs at the same time. When the limit is reached, further tasks wait and begin automatically, in order, as current tasks are completed.

What occupies a place

A task occupies a place while Lyric is performing it. This includes tasks you create or assign, tasks Lyric performs toward your goals, workflow and scheduled job runs, work started through the API, and self-reflections you initiate.

The following do not occupy a place:

  • Tasks awaiting your approval.
  • Tasks waiting to begin.
  • Conversation, which is never delayed by the number of tasks in progress.

When the limit is reached

A new task waits and begins automatically when one of your current tasks is complete. Waiting tasks begin in the order in which they were requested. Lyric displays the following message: “This task will begin when one of your current tasks is complete.”

A task that resumes after your approval also waits for a place if the limit has been reached.

Waiting does not consume action minutes.
