Additional usage and credits
Usage beyond your monthly allowance is paid for with usage credits: a prepaid balance, in US dollars, that you purchase on Settings › Usage on any plan, including Lyric Free. Credits can be used directly, or converted into Observe, Assist or Delegate action minutes.

Prices are the same on every plan, including Lyric Free.
Action minutes by autonomy level
Action minutes can be purchased for each autonomy level by converting usage credits on Settings › Usage. Each level is priced in line with the autonomy rates.

- Minutes of a higher level can be used for lower-level work, and cover it at that work's rate. One Delegate minute covers four minutes of Observe work or 1.54 minutes of Assist work; one Assist minute covers 2.6 minutes of Observe work.
- Once an allowance is used, work draws first on purchased minutes of its own level, then on purchased minutes of a higher level, and then on usage credits at its level's price.
- You do not need to convert credits in advance. When you hold credits but no purchased minutes, work draws on credits at its level's price automatically.
- Purchased minutes remain valid until the usage credits they were converted from expire.
How usage credits work
- Credits are prepaid, so spending can never exceed your balance.
- Credits are used only once an allowance has been used for the billing period.
- Credits that expire soonest are used first. In practice, promotional credits are used before purchased credits.
- Purchased credits remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Promotional credits expire on the date shown when they are granted.
- Credits are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
- Your balance, and the expiry of each purchase, is shown on Settings › Usage.
Purchasing credits
Usage credits can be purchased on every plan, including Lyric Free. Select Buy usage credits on Settings › Usage, choose an amount and confirm. The amount is charged to your default payment method, the credits are available immediately, and an invoice is issued. On Lyric Teams, the account holder purchases credits for the organization; on Lyric Enterprise, the account holder and administrators do.
Automatic reload
Automatic reload is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, LyricOS purchases a set amount of credits whenever your balance falls below a threshold you choose. You can change the amounts or turn automatic reload off at any time.
Lyric Teams and Lyric Enterprise
On Lyric Teams, each seat receives its own allowance, and credits purchased by the organization are held in a shared pool available to any seat once its own allowance is used. Administrators can limit how much of the pool the organization or individual people may spend in a month with spend limits. On Lyric Enterprise, additional usage follows the organization's agreement.
