Usage

Storage

LyricOS measures two types of storage: project storage for the files you upload, and core compute storage for the files Lyric creates while working for you. Both are levels that reflect what you hold at present.

Project storage and core compute storage

Project storageCore compute storage
DefinitionFiles you upload to projectsFiles Lyric creates in your workspace while performing work on your behalf
What countsEvery file you upload, at its full size from the moment the upload beginsDrafts, outputs, downloaded data, code and any other files Lyric's tools leave in your workspace

When it is measuredWhen an upload begins and when a file is deletedWhen each piece of work ends

Storage is a level

Storage allowances do not renew. Each is the maximum a seat may hold at any time. Capacity becomes available again only when files are deleted.

Storage above the allowance

If you hold usage credits, you can store more than your allowance. Storage above the allowance is measured each day and charged at $0.30 per GB per month on the average amount held above the allowance during the billing period, so a file held above the allowance for a few days is charged only for those days. Charges stop when you are back within the allowance.

Without usage credits, or once your monthly spend limit is reached:

  • An upload that would exceed your project storage is declined, and Lyric displays the following message: “This file would exceed your project storage limit of [size].”
  • When your core compute storage is full, no new work begins, and Lyric displays the following message: “Your core compute storage is full. Delete files from your workspace on Settings › Usage, or purchase usage credits.”

Units

Storage is measured in decimal units: 1 MB equals 1,000,000 bytes, and 1 GB equals 1,000 MB.

Not counted toward storage

The information Lyric retains about you does not count toward either storage allowance. This includes your context (evidence and memories), conversations, Activity records, goals, commitments, relationships and settings.
