Roles and permissions

Every organization has one account holder, any number of administrators and its employees. The account holder appoints administrators; administrators manage the organization's people and settings.

Roles

Account holder

The person who created the organization's subscription. The account holder can do everything an administrator can, and is the only person who can appoint or remove administrators and close the organization. On Lyric Teams, the account holder also manages billing. Ownership of an organization can be transferred only through Dominion Labs support.

Administrators

People the account holder has appointed to manage the organization. Administrators manage users and seats, authentication, integrations, policies, automation, working hours, workflows, webhooks and admin keys. On Lyric Enterprise, administrators also manage billing.

Employees

Everyone else in the organization. Employees use Lyric within the settings administrators choose, and manage their own preferences where the organization allows it.

Changing a person's role

The account holder appoints an administrator by changing an employee's account type to Administrator in Settings › Organization (Settings › Team on Lyric Teams) › Users, and removes administrator rights the same way. The change takes effect immediately.

Team roles

Within a team, people also hold a team role: team administrator, team lead or team member. See Teams within an organization.
