Set up
Invite people
Administrators invite people from Users. An invitation reserves a seat and remains valid for seven days.
Sending an invitation
- Open Settings › Organization (Settings › Team on Lyric Teams) › Users and add a person.
- Choose a free seat. If none is free, a seat is purchased first: on Lyric Teams by the account holder, and on Lyric Enterprise by the account holder or an administrator. On Lyric Teams, choose a standard or premium seat.
- Enter the person's first name, last name and work email address, and, where your organization uses them, their employee ID, job title and teams.
- Choose their account type: Administrator or Employee. Only the account holder can add administrators.
- Send the invitation.
Administrators never enter a person's phone number; each person adds their own.
How long an invitation remains valid
- An invitation remains valid for seven days.
- The seat is reserved for the person while the invitation is pending.
- An administrator can resend an invitation, which starts a new seven-day period, or cancel it, which releases the seat.
- Pending invitations are shown as Invited in Users.
Joining the organization
The person accepts the invitation from the email and signs in. Where the organization requires single sign-on, they sign in through the organization's identity provider. Where it requires two-factor authentication, they set it up at their first sign-in.
Single sign-on never creates accounts on its own: only people who have been invited and hold a seat can sign in to the organization.
People who already use Lyric
A person who already has a Lyric account joins with it. What Lyric knows about their own life remains their personal context; what it learns from their work for the organization becomes the organization's work context.
